Our Expectations

Athletes
As a member of the Cross Country/Track & Field team, each athlete is expected to uphold a high standard of commitment, discipline, and sportsmanship. Our goal is not only to compete at our best but to grow in character, resilience, and teamwork.

Expectations Include: All athletes must maintain a 2.0 Grade Point Average (GPA) to participate.

Attendance & Punctuality: Be on time and present at all practices, meets, and team events unless excused in advance.

6th period track is a class; attendance and participation is required every school day.

Practices are mandatory for all athletes (including Saturdays)

Effort & Attitude: Give 100% during training and competition. Come prepared, stay focused, and maintain a positive mindset. Bullying or any form of harassment or mistreatment will not be tolerated and profanity and vulgar language is prohibited

Coachability: Listen to feedback, apply instruction, and strive to improve every day

Team Conduct: Support your teammates, show respect to coaches and officials, and represent the team with pride—on and off the track

Team training is required for athletes to participate as an Eagle (Outside training not recommended​)

Accountability: Take responsibility for your training, nutrition, rest, and time management
Success in this sport is built through consistency, effort, and a strong team culture. Every athlete plays a role in that.​​

Parents
​Parents should conduct themselves as examples to our athletes demonstrating good sportsmanship and encouraging athletes to do the same.

​Parents are prohibited from the course/track during practice and meets, unless explicit permission is granted by Coach or Staff

- Profanity and vulgar language is prohibited

If concerns arise, contact the appropriate coach via email after 48 hours from the event
